MEET THE DREAM TEAM
Brooke A. Davies
Founder + ArtistHi!! I’m Brookie, the girl behind the brush! Ever since I was little, I’ve always been creating something. My signature thing was to make cards for people I loved whether it was birthdays, holidays, or really just anything. But they weren’t just cards, they had 3-D element, a bunch of different moving parts, so much color and drawing of course. One time, I made my teacher a card based on all her favorite things; tacos, the beach, and dogs. So I created a taco that opened up into a beach drawing where little messages were hidden in flaps in the water or revealed when you moved the dogs as if they were running. Looking back, I didn’t realize it then, but that was the beginning of everything.
I didn’t even have an art class in elementary school, so my first real experience with art wasn’t until middle school. But in high school, everything changed. I was blessed with my favorite person in the world, Mrs. Portwood. She wasn’t just my art teacher, she was a ray of sunshine. She has one of those rare personalities you'd give anything to experience. Every moment with her felt special, like the world got a little brighter just because she was in it. I was always her "Brookie", which is why it only felt right to name Brookie's Bowtique after her. I also loved bows, so I turned “boutique” into “bowtique.” She inspired not just the name, but the heart behind it! She didn't just guide me as an artist, she shaped me as a person. She taught me to embrace life's little joys and not sweat the small stuff. Whether we were laughing about her being on the phone with scammers or breaking out into a dance, she has this way of making you forget your worries and just live in the moment.
I truly believe God placed her in my life exactly when I needed her. I didn’t grow up knowing Him the way I do now, so my story looks a little different, but that’s why it means so much to me. My relationship with God is something I found; it’s something I chose and it’s completely changed my life.
For the longest time, I thought art would just be a fun hobby, something I'd do in my spare time, but God had bigger plans. Plans I didn’t even know were possible until they were right in front of me. Brookie’s Bowtique is more than a business to me, it’s something I feel called to do. Every piece I create is a reflection of the creativity God has placed in me, and I pray it brings light and joy into your life as well. My biggest dream isn’t just this business though, it’s also to have a family of my own one day. I want to be a wife and a mom more than anything. My dream is to continue growing Brookie’s Bowtique through and beyond college so that one day, it can support that life, the life I truly feel called to. That’s why every bit of support means so much to me. It’s not just profit, it goes right back into this dream, helping it grow into something sustainable.
So when you support Brookie’s Bowtique, you’re not just buying art, you’re helping me live out something I didn’t even know was possible. That means more than I could ever put into words. Thank you so much for being here. I truly hope we get to create something special together!
Emma Metheney
Operations + Financial Planning Assistant
Hi! I’m Emma Metheney, the Operations and Financial Planning Assistant at Brookie’s Bowtique, which basically means I get way too excited about spreadsheets, timelines, and a perfectly organized plan.
I work with our team to create efficient schedules that keep projects running smoothly and deadlines on time. Organization is genuinely one of my favorite things (color-coded calendars? Yes, please). I also truly love getting to know people, so don’t be surprised if a quick chat turns into a full conversation.
What I love most about Brookie’s Bowtique is the heart behind the mission and the team I get to work with. I’m grateful to play a role in creating memorable experiences for our clients while helping ensure every project is beautifully executed.
Eva Ashcraft
Content Creator + Social Media AssistantI’m Eva Ashcraft and I work with the team to handle content creation and social media management! You’ll see my work in the execution of Brookie’s Bowtique’s online presence, with reels, posts, and the website! Three things that encompass me as a person are the color green, Reuben sandwiches, and nature.
Being a part of Brookie’s Bowtique has been such an amazing experience for me - my favorite thing is the people I get to work with! The groups of people I associate with - my hockey team, my friends and family, my coworkers, my classmates - bring me the most joy in my life. I’m eager to contribute to the mission of this business, bringing memories and ideas to life through gorgeous art!!
Shaoey Pace
Content Concept + Visual Designer AssistantWhat’s up! I’m Shaoey Pace, and I’m the visual and creative side of content creation! Much of what I do is behind the scenes so I take lots of pictures and create many of the visuals you’ll see! I love to come up with new, fun, and often times silly ideas to share!!
Some things about me is I love music!!! I’m a classically trained pianist, going so far as to get a degree in it. I also love to read, to dance, flowers, the color pink, and almost anything that involves chocolate!
I’m excited to work with Brookie’s Bowtique because I’ve always been a dreamer and I love working with people who are dream big and are passionate about what they do! For me, the brush strokes are similar to music notes, and there’s a lot of love put into every single one.
